A couple arrived at Tannan Bay in Pingtan county recently for their wedding photo shoot.

The peaceful bay in Pingtan, Fujian province, is a virgin land with a shoreline of 22 kilometers. It is embraced by hills on three sides. Its left side faces the sea. It includes 13 beaches, stretching 400 to 2,000 meters.

"Shooting wedding photos at the beach has always been a romantic dream for girls. With the sea in the background, I really love it," said Yang Liping, the bride-to-be.

Yang Youming, the groom, said he was infatuated with the "blue tears" he saw on the Internet last month and decided to come to Tannan Bay for the photo shoot.

The blue tears – which are actually ostracods glowing blue in the dark – at the bay were discovered in August and soon became an online sensation, drawing a number of visitors.
