All of the four teams from Pingtan county, in east China's province of Fujian, won first prizes at the fourth Asian Robot Championships (China Region), on August 29.

The teams were made up of students from middle schools and high schools in Pingtan, and they also received a group prize – the "Tech Prize".

The team of Lin Kai and Lin Mingzhou from Pingtan achieved third place in the high school group.

The Asian Robot Championships (China Region) are held every August, and this year's event was hosted by the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province, and attracted about 1,200 contestants taking part in 397 teams from around the country.
