The “7th Strait Law Forum”, hosted by the Fujian Culture and Economy Exchange Center and the Fujian Related to Taiwan Law Center, will be held in Fuzhou August 18. The forum, a law theory exchange platform, will be hosted by education and scientific research institutions and organizations from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland.
Over 200 law experts from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland will exchange their ideas at the forum, under the theme of “comparative studies on liability of the tort legal system”. Issues expected to be discussed include liability of the tort legal system and citizen’s rights protection, liability of the tort legal system and environmental protection, and rules research of tort compensation.
The forum has so far received over 100 papers written by scholars from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
It was launched in 2003 and has been held six times.
