According to the Fujian Department of Commerce, the province is about to cooperate with Alibaba Group headquarters to operate Fujian Pavilion, offering Fujian local specialties on Taobao – the largest online retailer in China, Xinhua Net reported on April 17.

Fujian Pavilion aims to help local specialty producers expand sales channels with the platform of Taobao, and to enhance their brand awareness and increase market share.

Taobao approved the construction strategy and operating plan proposed by Fujian Commercial Group, the contractor, and the project will officially begin in June.
