Forum explores financing problems in specialized farmer cooperatives

The China Inclusive Financial System and Farmer Mutual Fund Development Forum was held at the School of Economics of Peking University on July 26.
Qin Zhongchun, research fellow of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), delivered a speech on financing problems in the development of specialized farmer cooperatives.
The forum explored the current status, experiences and development trends of China's farmer mutual fund cooperatives, which are usually initiated and set up by local specialized farmer cooperatives.
More than 200 participants attended the forum, including officials, specialists and scholars from the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the Research Center for Rural Economy, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the DRC, the School of Economics of Peking University, China Agricultural University, Anhui University of Finance and Economics, the Beijing Research Center for Rural Economy, and the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges. The general directors of specialized farmer cooperatives in Hebei, Shandong, Inner Mongolia and Anhui were also present.
