China Development Forum 2013 is held in Beijing

China Development Forum 2013，which is sponsored by DRC, was held on March 23-25, 2013 at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. The subject of the forum is “China: to Deepen Reform and Opening-up for a Well-off Society”. Around 350 overseas delegates attending the event included Dr. Henry Kissinger, WTO Secretary-General Pascal Lamy, the Co-Chair of the Forum, President of Siemens Mr. Peter L?scher, Nobel laureates in economics Prof. Joseph Stiglitz and Prof. Michael Spence and other leaders from international organizations, multinational companies and the academia Chinese senior officials, business leaders and renowned scholars totaling around 350 also participated in the conference. The delegates had an in-depth discussion on a wide range of topics related to the targets and policies for a well-off society, reform measures and further opening-up strategies. The Chair of the forum, DRC President Li Wei, Mr. Xu Kuangdi, Vice Chairman of the 10th CPPCC, Mr. Liu He, Chairman of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs and Vice Chairman of NDRC, Mr. Zhu Zhixin, Vice Chairman of NDRC, Minister of Finance Mr. Lou Jiwei, Mayor of Beijing Mr. Wang Anshun, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Henan Provincial Party Committee Mr. Guo Gengmao and Mr. Xie Fuzhan, Major of Chongqing Mr. Huang Qifan and DRC Vice Presidents Mr. Liu Shijin, Mr. Hanjun, Mr. Zhang Junkuo and Mr. Zhang Laiming as well as Dr. Long Guoqiang, Member of CPC Leading Group of DRC, chaired the relevant sessions or made speeches at the forum.
