Yu joined Goldenway in 2004 and introduced many world-renowned companies to Goldenway as investors, including Goldman Sachs, the International Fund for China's Environment, the United States-based feedstuff company Conti Group, and Shanghai Bright Food (Group), the largest food company in Asia.

As a backbone of Goldenway's research and development, Yu helped the company win many awards in Zhongguancun Science Park.

Goldenway is a new, high-tech enterprise. It specializes in regenerative resource utilization of organic wastes with microbial resource circulating technology. This new technology helps dispose urban kitchen waste and drives organic agriculture in China.

The company served as the sole provider of kitchen waste treatment in the Olympic Village during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The company's performance was recognized by all circles of society and the International Olympic Committee.

Goldenway established the Beijing Gao'antun Kitchen Wastes Resource Disposal Center, which took a large-scale leading role in China's kitchen waste treatment industry thanks to its advanced technologies.
