It is recently been revealed that the peony flower view of Fenghuang Mountain is on the list of the most beautiful countryside views in China, together with 107 other tourist attractions.
In addition to Fenghuang Mountain, there are another two in Anhui province that are on the list: the rape flower view of Lu village, Qian county, Huangshan city and the Jiapeng terraced landscape of Jixi county, Xuancheng city.
Fenghuang Mountain is famous for being the Home of the Peony Flower. The popularity of the mountain has been rapidly increasing over the last few years. In April 2012 alone, more than 300 thousand people visited the mountain.
Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, the selection for the most beautiful countryside view in China went through a series of processes including local recommendations, online voting, and expert assessments.
It aims to recommend a number of beautiful and colorful countryside views to the public. This time, a total of 347 views were entered into the final selection and 108 were selected.
