The 2013 Anhui Sina Weibo Night took place on January 9. Eight awards were announced, including Top 10 Most Influential Government Weibo in Anhui Province of 2013. The Anhui Province Tourism Bureau’s official weibo (@安徽省旅游局) was included on the list.
Since its launch in 2011, the weibo has focused on providing help and service to tourists, netizens and society as a whole. It has helped publicize tourism information and answer tourist concerns. It plays an increasingly important role in enhancing the bureau’s communication with tourists and creating a better image for tourism in Anhui province.
In 2013, the Anhui Tourism Bureau used weibo as a platform to launch a series of online campaigns. Netizens were able to get up-to-date information and participate in activities such as an online photo competition.
