Both Chinese and American water skiers are looking forward to a competition that will be held on June 15 in the city of Tongling, Anhui province.
The event has been held every year since 2001. Two years later, the event was jointly organized by the General Administration of Sport of China, the provincial government of Anhui and the municipal government of Tongling.
Dubbed the 'water ballet', water-skiing is a sport in which the skier is pulled behind a boat or a cable ski installation over a body of water, skimming the surface. Top athletes from the two countries are expected to take part in the contest, according to officials.
