姚明：缺席“全明星賽”是好事

正在養傷的小巨人姚明日前表示，他“確定”不會參加今年的NBA全明星賽，不過，將會于2月份開始恢復場上訓練。去年圣誕前夕，姚明在火箭對快船比賽中不慎右膝脛骨骨裂。雖然休養期間，姚明在全明星賽首發陣容投票評選中所獲票數一直居于首位，但由于右腿傷勢，參加本次全明星賽不切實際。對于這次遺憾缺席，姚明認為未必不是好事，因為他借此可以養精蓄銳，以便在以后的比賽中發揮更好水平。

Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, recovering from a broken leg,
said he will "definitely not" play in the All-Star
Game but hopes to start on-court
workouts during the Feb. 16-18 All-Star break, the Houston
Chronicle reported.
"It's going pretty well so far," Yao said, according to the Chronicle. "Right
now we're looking for some rehab to make the muscle stronger so when I'm back to
play, I'm not hurting."
Yao has been out with a fractured
tibia since Dec. 23, but as of Jan. 4, still led all NBA players
with 1,775,413 votes for the All-Star Game in Las Vegas. Starters for the
All-Star Game are expected to be announced Thursday.
Yao said missing All-Star Weekend is "good timing" because he'll be able to
spend time working out without missing any more games, the newspaper reported.
"Actually, it's pretty good to me to stay home, do my work and get back to
the court," Yao said, according to the Chronicle.
