New Traditional Chinese Clothes Brand Show is a fashion show that features a modern twist on traditional Chinese clothing. On Oct 20, the show opened its doors at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology.

With 85 ready-to-wear costumes and exquisite Chinese style accessories on display, the show presents the creativity and innovation that relived the traditional Chinese clothes.

Patterns, materials, and designs that were not so frequently seen outside of museums blend with trendy fashion elements to make up the new styled traditional clothing. The designers cut them to better fit the figures.

Liu Yuanfeng, president of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology says, "the designers demonstrated their pursue of high quality lives of the male consumers by applying patterns of briny water, Chinese ink painting, etc. The clothes were tailored in a way that show the tolerance, learned and refined character that traditional Chinese value a lot."

Liu said that while the show promotes ready-to-wear and ceremonial traditional Chinese clothing, it also has a connection between traditional Chinese clothing and today's clothing industry.
