The 12th National Games, billed as China's mini-Olympics, opened in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China's Liaoning province, on Aug 31. The quadrennial games feature all 28 Olympic sports as well as baseball, softball and martial arts. The events will run through Sept 12. The following are some pictures from the games.
