Oleg Maskaev of Kazakhstan (R),
connects on WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, of the United States, during
their title fight at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada August
12, 2006. Maskaev took the title with a 12th round TKO. Maskaev's victory means
all four major heavyweight belts are now held by fighters born in the former
Soviet Union. Maskaev was born in Kazakhstan and an army officer in the former
Soviet Union but became an U.S. citizen two years ago and lives in Staten
