Oldest theatre reopens with modern twist

Combining performances, catering, shopping and karaoke, the first multi-functional theatre in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province will open at the end of the year.
The building is based on the original structure of the 103-year-old Haizhu Theatre the oldest theatre in China.
The reconstruction project has taken two years and cost 15 million yuan (US$1.85 million).
