TOKYO - A Boeing 787 dreamliner operated by All Nippon Airways Co made emergency landing Wednesday morning at Southweast Japan's Takamatsu Airport, local media reported.

The landing was made around 8:45 am after smoke emitted inside the aircraft, Kyodo cited firefighters. The plane took off from Yamaguchi Ube Airport earlier in the day, and was heading for Tokyo. ?

All people on board the plane were safe. The emergency landing was made because pilot detected battery problems soon after takeoff, according to media reports.
