An ICBM fired from the ground can be detected within 7 seconds! If you can escape the first 7 seconds of detection, you might be able to get it into the sky for a few thousand feet, but within 7 seconds, massive retaliation from the US will have triggered! Now, what good is an ICBM, anyway? The Americans are already perfecting an ICBM that is carried into space by ordinary jet fighters and then released from a ceratain altitute in space which makes it difficult to detect once it is sent earthward towards an enemy target!
