Jackie Chan rebuffs 'death' report

Jackie Chan became the latest victim of celebrity death hoax.

The Hong Kong kung fu star denied the fake report of his death from heart attack by cnminformativo.com on Friday.

The news website published a picture showing an NBC presenter broadcasting the news. To make it more believable, the report fabricated an announcement it claimed to be made by Chan's wife Lin Fengjiao.

"The sad news of Chan's death was given by his wife Lin Fengjiao in a news conference, a couple of hours ago, where she said to the media, 'I hope you can understand my loss, and I would appreciate if you can give us space of our mourning," the report said.

Chan said in a Weibo post that he was left speechless when he saw the report.
