Fatal love triangle

A man in his twenties rescued his ex-girlfriend instead of his girlfriend after the two women jumped into a river one after another in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality on Thursday, Chongqing Commercial Daily reported.

The three, who are work colleagues, came to the river bank to solve a romantic dispute between them. After hours of negotiation, the man's ex-girlfriend suddenly jumped into the river and the man immediately followed to rescue her. Out of spite, the man's girlfriend also jumped into the river. As was reported, the man and his ex-girlfriend survived but his girlfriend died in the river.
