A design forum and an industrial design innovation exhibition will soon open at Yuelai International Exhibition City in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area.

This year's Yuelai Design International Forum, which will open on Dec 8, will host thematic sub-forums and attract more than 400 industry insiders from Italy, the United States, Germany, France, Switzerland and Ireland.

Global pioneers and experts from the design sector will gather to seek a path to empower the economy through industrial design.

Overseas and domestic specialists in the industry and executives of leading enterprises will give keynote speeches on design-driven industrial innovation at the event.

International designers, life science experts and famous enterprises will discuss the linkage and development between design and life sciences.

Italian players in the industrial design sector and domestic designers will hold dialogue both online and offline.

Also, the Chongqing Industrial Design Innovation Exhibition will commence on Dec 9 and last until Jan 31 next year at Yuelai International Exhibition City. The show will display the latest technologies and achievements made by local manufacturers, including those products boasting excellent industrial design elements and works selected by local design events.

More than 30 industry leaders, including Chinese hi-tech giants Huawei, Tsinghua Unigroup, Changan Automobile and domestic display panel supplier BOE Technology Group, will exhibit their products – ranging from electronic equipment and artificial intelligence to aerospace technology and medical devices – in a 5,000-square-meter area.
