Liangjiang Development and Investment Group held an annual meeting on cooperation with financial institutions on Jan 21, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

Li Jin, president of Liangjiang Development and Investment Group, briefed the representatives on Liangjiang’s performance in 2015 before introducing the investment and finance plan for 2016.

Liu Hong, vice president of Liangjiang Development and Investment Group noted that the group will take the opportunity of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Initiative to cooperate with financial institutions.

Gu Gang, deputy governor of China Development Bank’s Chongqing Branch noted that the bank will work on finance and investment platform and\ support Liangjiang New Area in areas related to people’s livelihood.

Luo Wei, deputy head of ICBC’s Chongqing Branch, noted that the bank will support Liangjiang’s ambition to be a development zone with international influences.

Tang Zongwei, deputy director of the Administrative committee of Liangjiang New Area, said that with five years development, Kiangjiang has made great achievement in three pillar industries of automobile, electronic information and equipment manufacturing.

He also noted that the area will strive for more preferential national policies and resources and optimize allocation of resources ion Liangjiang. He hoped financial institutions pay more attention to companies in Liangjiang New Area and achieve mutual development.

A total of 23 banks attended the seminar, including the Chongqing branches of China Development Bank, Agriculture Development Bank, China Import and Export Bank, ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) and Banks of Communication and local banks such as Bank of Chongqing Bank and Bank of Sanxia.

Representatives from the Finance Bureau, and Financial Development Department of Liangjiang New Area as well as and Yufu Industrial Development Zones, Shuitu Industrial Development Zones and Longxing Industrial Development Zones took part in the seminar.
