On September 5, Liangjiang New Area hosted a high-level foreign experts summit in Liangjiang Liangjiang International Studio City. 40 high-level foreign experts from the United States, Britain, Japan, Korea, Austria and other countries participated in the event.

This event was co-hosted by Liangjiang New Area Human Resources Bureau, and Liangjiang New Area Human Resources Ltd.

Most of the attendees were from Liangjiang New Area Industrial Development Zone, and newly settled companies in the north zone, including AT & S, Hankook Tire, Ford, Changan Automobile and other key enterprises. Among the 40 foreign experts, there were three "national thousands people plan"experts, 16 Fortune 500 executives, as well as chief engineers in large state-owned enterprises.

"With a number of world-renowned enterprises settled in Liangjiang New Area, foreign experts and overseas professionals in the district have gradually increased. This event aims at providing a platform for them to exchange information and ideas and, at the same time, enrich their knowledge of Liangjiang.

During the event, the staff from Chongqing's Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau, and the Employment Promotion Department of Chongqing Human Resources and Social Security Bureaugave the background to related working and living policies for the experts.

The summit fell on the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday; and the organizers invited attendees to experience traditional Chinese culture such as making moon cakes. During the event, some experts wore the flag of the Republic of China to experience the traditional cultured folk custom.

Luo Hong, Chairman of Liangjiang New Area Human Resources said that thanks to the optimal environment for bringing in skilled people, that Liangjiang New Aea created, the area is attracting more and more high-level foreign experts who are bringing with them the concept of innovation, model innovation, technological innovation, and development innovation.

Lingjiang New Area attaches great importance to its human resources strategy and has defined the overall goal of its skilled people development since it was established. It aims to become one of the most dynamic, innovative areas and provide the best business environment in China by 2020. For these purposes, Chongqing municipal government has brought-in high-level expert policies which provide guarantees for housing, research, entrepreneurship, training, incentives, taxation, and safeguard these seven aspects.

Luo Hong said that these experts from around the world have high-level networks. It's expected they could bring in more skilled people through their contracts to boost Liangjiang's development. He also said that his company can provide documentation, living, health, and schooling of children and other services for them.

What's more, in order to better serve experts in all sectors, Liangjiang New Area also set up a "talent Salon", which carries out all kinds of exchange activities from time to time to provide a platform for mutual exchange and sharing.
