The State Grid Chongqing Beibei Power Supply Company (SGCBPSC) will accelerate construction of an electric substation to better serve Liangjiang New Area. In the new 110 kV SGCBPSC substation , workers are working hard to make the final preparations for the substation’s construction and to ensure its operation in September. Everyone has been working hard to finish installing electric equipment by the end of April.

A more demanding challenge has been posed for the secure and steady supply of power to over ten key enterprises, including cloud computing, Asia Pacific Data Center (APDC), and the Medical Base of Peking University Founder Group Corporation, all set in Shuitu Industrial Park in Liangjiang New Area. As the second new 110 kV substation in Shuitu Industrial Park built by SGCBPSC, the project was started in October 2013, and is expected to be put into operation in September . The completion of this project will alleviate the over-demand for power within this industrial park and provide a more reliable power supply to meet the demands of rapid development.

The new 110 kV substation adopts a conventional outdoor layout. Each of the two main power transformers has a capacity of 50,000 kva, supplying voltages of 110 kV, 35 kV and 10 kV with 30 outlets. This project can meet all the power demands of the mining industries and residential use.

The quality inspectors of Chongqing Power Company’s construction safety team came to the substation to check the work in progress, and gave directions to fulfilling the standardized application and management of infrastructure projects. The inspectors spoke highly of the standardized operations and well-organized production. Moreover, they praised the sound planning and standardized management. The inspectors encouraged the workers to keep their professional attitude and methods to promote this project as a model to upgrade the level of substation construction.

In addition to the new 110 kV project to be finished this year, SGCBPSC will start the construction of Wanjiashan 110 kV substation in October in Shuitu Industrial Park to further upgrade the grid mix in the industrial park and better serve the local socio-economic development.
