Cadre Qu Qiubai Execution Place (Martyr Qu Qiubai Memorial)
Qu's deathplace is located at Luohan Ridge in Changting county, Fujian province's Longyan city. In 1951, the Martyr Qu Qiubai Memorial was built up at his execution place. It was rebuilt in 1982 and 1985.
The memorial is 30.59 meters in height. The name of the memorial was inscribed by Lu Dingyi, former minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. And the inscription on the memorial was written by the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Fujian provincial government. The pedestal has four layers of platforms. The memorial, covering an area of 4000 square meters, is surrounded by lawns, squared and hexagon parterres.
In the middle of the hexagon parterre was the execution place of Martyr Qu Qiubai. Besides his deathplace is an exhibition room of Qu's heroic stories.
In 1985, the site was listed as a provincial cultural heritage protection unit. In 1987, it was listed as national key martyr memorial protection unit. In 2001, it was included in the second batch of national patriotism education bases.
