Private quity forum to be held in Tianjin

China International Private Equity Forum (CIPEF), an event approved by the State Council, will be held in Tianjin from June 10 to June 12, 2010 to cap its former trilogy in China.
It is estimated that over 5,000 guests from 500 domestic and international venture capital and private equity firms, 300 intermediaries, and 1,500 leading PRC companies will attend the conference.
"The 4th Annual CIPEF will try to attract more funds to register in Tianjin Binhai New Area (BNA) and to promote RMB funds overseas," said Chen Zongsheng, the deputy secretary-general of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, in the Project Road Show recently in Beijing.
This exclusive event is co-hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
CIPEF has been the most effective platform for the direct financing of Small- and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and serves well to domestic and overseas funds by continuous innovation and perfection of direct financing mechanism, which will greatly boost the equity funds industry and direct financing.
Being prior to carry and try many preferential policies, the TBNA will attract more funds to register in, stressed Chen.
As for this year's features, the 4th CIPEF will focus its discussion on "Post-Crisis Era", in which how to gain huge economic momentum after picking up weighs most, and "Encourage Global Capital Transactions, and Accelerate Substantial Economic Development" forum.
To promote RMB equity funds to open up to global market will be highlights of this year. Participants this year come from multiple funds including buyout funds, industrial funds and equity funds at home and abroad, which used to be foreign small and medium funds.
The China Great Wall Asset Management Corporation (CGWAMC) also took part in the operation and will inject fresh blood, including bad-assets disposal, by hosting Innovation Forum on Financial Assets Transactions and Reciprocal Reception.
The 4th CIPEF remains committed to its guiding principles, namely "contribute to the global flow of capital, establish a direct fundraising platform, promote enterprise growth, and advance regional development."
Recognized as one of the world largest and most influential annual events focusing on private equity investment in China, CIPEF has attracted over 4,000 enterprises and institutions from over 20 countries each year and has raised funds amounting to RMB 30 billion during previous years.
