My hometown is a small village in China. During summer vacations, students usually have to take extra classes to improve their studies. Usually they have to, because the rule is set by the school, and they have no choice to get away from it. But they also have some free time to enjoy the holiday, because the extra lessons often take a 1/3 of the whole vacation. So they also have time to go fishing, hiking, or visit their relatives. But most of them may just stay at their own home and watch TV.
