3D printing projects to settle in Kunming Hi-Tech Zone

Shi Xiaosheng, general manager of the Yunnan Xiangshang Investment Co visited the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone on Jan 19. The two sides discussed the introduction of 3D printing technology to the Zone.
Shi explained in detail the plan of introduction. It is planned to organize a special R&D team to produce artware with unique Yunnan ethnic features to take advantage of the rich ethnic cultural resources and nonferrous metals in the province. Also, it is going to work on anti-counterfeiting products and long-distance real time medical monitoring equipment with 3D printing techniques.
Wang Minzheng, director of the administrative committee of the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone, commented favorably on Xiangshang Investment Co’s plan. He encouraged the company to start construction and operations as soon as possible and to open the 3D printing market in Yunnan. Wang promised that the Zone would provide the enterprises in the Zone with superior services and help them whenever they needed.
Why Kunming will bounce back
