European travel agencies arrived in Hubei

The delegation of 11 Spanish travel agencies arrived in Wuhan on May 31 after the Wuhan- Paris direct flight was opened.

The 11-person delegation arrived in Wuhan from Paris by Air France and departed on June 3. This was the first group of travel agencies that have arrived after the Wuhan-Paris direct flight was opened on April 12. It marks a significant milestone for the globalization of Wuhan tourism.

The tour was jointly organized by the Hubei tourism bureau and Oficina Nacional de Turismo de China en Madrid (National Tourism Administration Madrid office). Major domestic Spanish travel agencies including TourMundial, Descubrreiajes were also present.

Attractions visited including the Xiantao recreational village, Jinzhou ancient city, Three Gorges Dam and Wudang Mountain. All the guests were impressed with the great scenery and delicious local foods.

On June 2, a banquet was hosted by the Hubei municipal tourism bureau to welcome the Spanish delegation. Pan Xihan, deputy director of the Hubei tourism bureau; Shi Xiang, director of the Oficina Nacional de Turismo de China en Madrid; and Panamby, the PIC of Air France Madrid office, attended and gave speeches.

This tour was aimed at promoting the Hubei tourism industry. Travel agencies from Switzerland, Italy, France and Germany, as well as, 50 other countries presented at the 6th Central China Travel Expo and were invited to tour famous attractions such as Wudang Mountain and the Three Gorges Dam.
