The Taohua (Peach Blossom) Mountain, located in the Lingqiu county of Datong city, is famous for its vast areas of peach flowers. With spring water flowing, the mountain has many natural karst caves created by natural forces over hundreds and thousands of years. The Taohua Cave, 1,900 meters high above sea level, began to form around 1.7 billion years ago and its stalactites are still growing. The stalactites are in different shapes tier upon tier; some look like bead curtains and some like mushrooms.

The Jiajia village in Lvliang city boasts a good ecological environment with green trees, grasslands, water, mountains, and flowers. Awarded as a national agricultural tourism destination, it is a good scenic site for tourism, workouts, leisure, education, and scientific research.

The village has a park for agricultural research, a flowers park, a breeding park, and a botany park, with a dozen sight spots.

Xuehua Mountain in Yuncheng city

People have every reason to go to Xuehua Mountain for a visit. The main peak, Zhongtiao Mountain, is 1,994 meters high. Standing on the mountain and experiencing a fresh breeze blowing gently, visitors can see grotesque stone shapes and clean flowing spring streams, all the while breathing the fragrance of multitudes of flowers.

Xuehua Mountain is the location of the largest folk group of stone carvings, more than 10,000. Visitors can also experience the folk traditions of the South Shanxi area, including special snacks, handcrafts, and social customs.

Lingkong Mountain in Changzhi city

Lingkong Mountain, formerly named Jiuding Mountain because of its nine peaks, provides fairyland scenery for visitors. The ancient Shengshou Temple, a valuable temple building group, is located at the middle of the mountain featuring large size and exquisite architecture style. Huge pine trees amaze visitors in that they are thick enough to need two people to clasp their arms around to close the circle.
