Shanxi University (SXU) and the East Timor Institute of Business held their first video meeting on July 7 of the council for the Confucius classroom located in the latter, which was co-built by the two sides.

Huang Guitian, president of Shanxi University, said that the Confucius Classroom at East Timor Institute of Business will promote the language and cultural exchanges between two universities and further two sides' cooperation in academic and scientific research.

The representatives of the council and the East Timor Institute of Business gave a presentation on the current situation at the institute, the launch of the Confucius classroom and the related budget.

The meeting also discussed issues related to the deployment of teachers to the Confucius classroom, curriculum settings and activity arrangements.
