The Musical Theatre, in the city of Datong, Shanxi province has been busy rehearsing its 2015 folk concert, to properly entertain the public on the last day of 2014, at the Workers’ Cultural Centre.
This year's concert has a folk music theme from the northern parts of China, in two parts, with 15 song and dance performances, which is quite a departure from previous concerts where the focus has mainly been on orchestral symphonies.
The artists put on a concert for the public every year at this time, which has become one of the city's most treasured events, Datong Evening News has reported. This year's concert will be the 10th one.
