Yu Hong is a 39-year-old doctor in Lianxing community, Jinfeng town, who has worked wholeheartedly for a long time.

Yu mainly offers daily care for patients, such as measuring blood glucose and blood pressure levels. In addition, she also carries out psychological nursing for patients with chronic diseases, pays visits to women and babies, and gives health lectures to propagate health knowledge.

The Community Health Service Station where Yu serves receives 30 to 50 patients every day. Based on concrete analysis about a patient’s mental state, the station also provides humanistic services including preparing a hot water bag for those who undergo extended periods of infusion and providing food for seniors who arrive alone.

“Some may think it a pity that a doctor just serves a community, however, I feel happy and fulfilled when helping residents in the community. We make it convenient for residents to get treatment,” said Yu.
