The city of Nantong, Jiangsu province, established an association for the cultural and creative industry on Oct 10, with the aim of promoting sound industry development in the city. The association, consisting of 150 members, is a non-profit social organization founded by local companies, departments and individuals engaging in the cultural and creative industry.

The association will play an important role in consolidating the relationship between the government, industry and society; protecting the common interest; and improving the competitive ability of member companies.

Zhang Shushan, director of the city’s publicity department, attended the founding meeting and hoped that the association can make contributions to the cultural development of the city.

The Nantong Cultural Industry Equity Investment Fund was also launched at the meeting.
