The Quju Opera Art Development Forum, one of main activities of the 2nd China Quju Opera Art Festival, began on Sept 8.
The forum focused on the development of Chinese Quju Opera as an intangible cultural heritage. Ten famous Chinese drama scholars voiced their opinions on the way to protect Chinese Quju Opera after applying for intangible cultural heritage, the way to integrate intangible cultural heritage protection awareness into the creation of Quju Opera, the way to make full use of the traditional advantages to attract a bigger audience and how to explore traditional music of Quju opera.
At the forum, famous experts on art studies delivered speeches on the aesthetic characteristics of Quju opera, the importance of Quju opera protection, the problems and development potentials with Quju art and inheriting Quju Opera.
