Rongcheng county merchants held a clothing trade fair with 200 merchants from an Anhui clothing center in Baoding city, North China’s Hebei province, on July 29, 2010, seeking cooperation opportunities.
The Baima Clothing Center in Hefei, where all the Anhui traders come from, is currently the largest, most complete and multifunctional brand clothing wholesale market in Anhui province.
The Anhui delegation visited 12 key clothes-making enterprises and saw some products on display. Primary cooperation agreements were reached between them and over 50 clothing brands, and several plush toy makers.
The garment industry is one of the pillars of Rongcheng’s economy. Today the county boasts 830 clothing companies, making 450 million items of clothing and children's wear per year, generating an annual total of 15.9 billion yuan.
A special team consisting of 13 scaled clothing traders was sent to the Baima Clothing Market by the Rongcheng government a month ago. A long-term strategic partnership agreement was inked.
