Gansu cooperates with Iran on two projects

The Commerce Department of Gansu province sent a delegation to Tehran and Qom province in Iran for economic and trade cooperation, gscn.com.cn reported on April 16.
With the aim of further opening up to the West, the delegation visited the Tehran International Exhibition Center and discussed preparation work for the Gansu commodity fair.
In Qom, the delegation attended signing ceremonies for investment contracts in two projects in Iran. Then the delegation visited the trade representative’s office of the Gansu Foreign Trade Association. The trade delegation marks a substantial achievement for Gansu in the course of opening to the West.
Gansu is cooperating with Iran on two projects: an investment in a paper mill in Esfahan and a plastic products factory in Qom. The former investment is up to $15 million.
In August 2013, Gansu signed a contract for production equipment with another company in Esfahan. According to the contract, the paper mill produces 150 tons of coated white paper every day and will begin operation in March 2015.
