A photo of an untouched white sandy beach in Jianmin village in Pingtan, Fujian province rose to fame recently, because of its beautiful otherworldly views.

The beach, a sandbank shaped like a crescent moon, stretches for two kilometers and is 100 meters wide at high tide.

Stepping onto the shore, beachgoers are able to feel the soft golden sand between their toes, the gentle sea breeze and hear the sounds of the lapping ocean and flocks of seabirds overhead.
