Authorities responsible for the construction of public rental housing in Pingtan county revealed two template designs on Aug 11.

The two designs were a one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartment. They have been equipped with nearly all necessities, according to a report by Pingtan Times.

Pingtan recently offered 528 apartments for public rental as part of the government’s support policies for the needy. They include 88 one-bedroom apartments of 40 sq m, and 440 two-bedroom ones of about 70 sq m.

The interior decoration of the 528 apartments is due for completion by the end of September. The construction company said they would make an overall checkup before transferring them to their due owners. The whole project is expected to be wrapped up by the Spring Festival (next February).

Public rental housing application is open to people with low-incomes, new employees and migrant workers, according to Chinese policies.
