 The CPC Xi’an Municipal Committee and Xi’an Municipal Government established the Chan-Ba Ecological District, Xi’an, an ecological urban district, learning from the development experience of cities at home and abroad. The Chan-Ba Ecological District incorporates ecological control into urban construction. On one hand, the ecological environment and the city is improved by comprehensively managing the river and applying the rules of ecological reconstruction to the valley to increase the overall urban bearing capacity. On the other hand, development consistent with the reality of the region is encouraged by building infrastructure to form a situation of varied development with other regions, enriching the urban culture, raising the quality and value of the city. Over more than six years of development, the Chan-Ba Ecological District created a series of brands with passion, popularity, and influence by speeding up regional development. The world famous Euro-Asia Economic Forum is held every second year here, and the F1 motorboat, the top international sports event, is also held here. As the location of China’s first northwest “Pilot Project for the Protection and Repair of the National Aquatic Ecosystem” and “National Wetland Park”, Chan-Ba Ecological District has become a pioneer and model for the urban ecological district, as well as hosting site for the International Horticultural Exposition 2011 Xi’an. In 2008, Shaanxi Province and Xi’an Municipal Government chose the Chan-Ba Ecological District as the financial business zone. In January 2010, the Chan-Ba financial business zone was named the “Xi’an financial business zone” by Xi’an Municipal Government. The Chan-Ba Ecological District has rapidly become an important financial service center of western China. Currently, the Chan-Ba Ecological District is the most livable and most suitable places for starting a business in Xi’an as well as one of the most dynamic, fashionable, modern, emerging and green regions of Xi’an. Moreover, the Chan-Ba Ecological District has begun a “third generation of urban space” which integrates industry, inhabitancy, ecology and culture, and is livable and suitable for starting businesses.
