To further expand its tourist market in Shanghai, Liu'an city in Anhui province held a tourism promotional meeting themed "Beautiful Mountains and Waters; Leisure Time in Liu'an" in the Hotel Pullman, Shanghai South, in Xuhui district on April 18. Over 200 delegates from tourism departments and the media attended.
After an opening performance, Wang Qi, the deputy mayor of Liu'an city presented a thorough introduction to the city. Then the Shanghai Tourism Bureau expressed its wish for better support facilities and services in the Dabie Mountain scenic area. Huoshan county, where Dabie Mountain is located, specifically introduced its original ecological experience and promotional policies.
In addition, the Huoshan county government signed a cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Railway International Tourism Group to introduce a Dabie Mountain special train before this summer's vacation.
The Huoshan county government is one of the co-organizers of this meeting. The county has been developing its tourism with the goal of becoming China's No.1 mountain resort county. It possesses a large number of mountains and rivers; among them, the most famous ones are the AAAA-level Dabia Mountain, the AAAA-level Causeway Village, the AAAA-level Foziling and the AAAA-level Nanyue Mountain. The county also has rich cultural features. For example, it is one of the 12 key red tourism areas in China.
This meeting, which attracted close attention from both the press and tourism communities in Shanghai, is expected to significantly enhance tourism cooperation between Liu'an and Shanghai.
