Specific body examination plans are tailor-made for each member according to their physical situation, family disease history and life habits, she said.

"The service we provide at the club is up to the international highest standard," she said.

Hu Bo said that fewer than 10 people have signed up for the lifelong program.

Other kinds of memberships include 10- and five-year plans, which cost 1.2 million yuan and 600,000 yuan.

Currently, the total number of members stands at several hundred, he said.

A member surnamed Feng said he enjoyed the privacy and high-quality service at the club.

"I couldn't stand the crowded public hospitals anymore," said the 46-year-old man from Shanxi province, who runs a family business.

"The club also provides a decent and more private place to meet friends or business partners in Beijing," he said.

According to Hu, most of their clients are men older than 40.

Around half are residents of Beijing.
