The source said: "Nicole has now officially quit drinking and she's in good company with Keith.
"She's also upped her protein intake and is getting her share of organic fruits and veggies.
"She's big on steamed veggies and rice and strawberries right now, but she likes to mix it up every few days, depending on what her nutritionist suggests."
Miss Kidman is said to be "beaming" at the thought of having her first biological child.
"After a miscarriage during her first marriage she was devastated and nearly gave up on the idea. its an absolute godsend.
"After eight months of fertility treatment she is well and truly beside herself.
"One of the things that really appeal to Nic about Keith from the start was his interest in having kids.
"Now that she is pregnant, he's one hundred percent behind her and just as excited as she is to have a child.
