Hollywood superstars Leonardo Dicaprio and Jack Nicholson had a nasty shock during a recent round of golf - when a wild bobcat appeared from out of nowhere.

The actors, soon to be seen together in director Martin Scorsese's The Departed, were playing on a golf course in Los Angeles when the incident reportedly occurred.

A source says, "Leo's new to the sport and was getting some pointers from Jack when a bobcat appeared at the 15th hole.

"Jack told him to run like hell. They jumped in their golf cart and fled."
