'Superman Returns' star Brandon Routh has been offered half a million dollars to pose naked for Playgirl.

The handsome actor has been approached by the erotic magazine to bare all.

A source revealed to America's In Touch magazine: "Brandon is gorgeous, and the editors noticed. He has the body and face of a Greek god."

Routh is said to be seriously considering the offer but is yet to make a decision whether he will shed his tights.

The source added: "Brandon is from the Midwest. He's not that comfortable with nudity."

Earlier this week, Routh confessed he loved the rumours which claimed his manhood was too big for his costume.

During shooting, rumours abounded that the American actor's apparently 'mighty' appendage had to be retouched in the final edit of the superhero movie because it was too visible through his tight pants.
