Survey: women's values changing
A survey shows that modern women care most about their families' health, considering family happiness the thing they are proud of most.
According to the survey, in May this year 1,888 permanent residents aged between 18 and 60 from seven Chinese cities including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou were interviewed.
Among the interviewees were 1,102 females. Women asked what they feel most proud of responded as follows: a happy family (11 percent); having promising offspring (10.9 percent); healthy family members (9.9 percent) and a good husband (9.3 percent).
Appearance is no longer worth being proud of for women, with only two percent of respondents choosing charming appearance.
Over seven percent of females care most about their careers. A survey analyst said compared with traditional women, those in modern times have more choices and goals, focusing both on family and career.
Nearly half of the women considered family responsibility the most important
standard when seeking their Mr. Right; personality (16.5 percent); honest, kind
and with good morality (15.6 percent); knowledgeable (8 percent) and rich and
mighty (4.7 percent)
