Faye Wong and Li Yapeng have already registered for
marriage and held their wedding reception in Beijing.
The groom's older brother, Li Yawei, tells Mainland reporters that "We
wanted to treat this with a low-key manner because this is after
all the private life of two people. We can only silently give them our
best wishes. But, seeing how so much media is reporting on the story and
how everyone is expressing their care about them, and since it is good
news, we decided to officially make an announcement. The fans who love
Faye Wong and Li Yapeng can give their best wishes to the couple."
Reporters photographed Li Yapeng all dressed up with Faye wearing a
white gown. Was that the marriage ceremony? Faye's manager Chan Ka Ying
has her doubts. "Are you sure they weren't going to another person's
wedding? I find this weird because shouldn't they have registered first?"
Ka Ying doesn't know the real story on Faye's marriage because she hasn't
received official word from her client. "I don't know if she got married
again or not. But regardless, I still give her my best wishes."
Faye's daughter calls Yapeng "Daddy"
After Faye Wong and Li Yapeng officially married, daughter Tung Tung,
who Faye gave birth to with ex-husband Dou Wei, is now calling Yapeng
"Daddy".
Yapeng's older brother Li Yawei confirms the story. According to him,
Tung Tung, who used to address Yapeng as "Uncle," is now calling him
"Daddy." Because Yapeng spent so much time with her, the two developed a
father-daughter-like relationship.
From time to time, says Yawei, Tung Tung would call Yapeng "Dad" but
starting on the night of the marriage, she started calling him "Daddy."
Touched, Yapeng apparently told the little girl that "Tung Tung is growing
up!"
Ex-husband Dou Wei doesn't have comments about Faye's current marriage.
Through a friend, we learned that Dou Wei isn't affected by the news at
all. The friend said Dou Wei wouldn't mind that Tung Tung calls Yapeng
"Daddy," as long as it's good for his daughter.
Hordes of paparazzi have
been guarding Faye's residence in Beijing, prompting the star to seek help
from security. After news broke of their marriage, the couple received
congratulatory phone calls from friends in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Faye and Yapeng promised they will throw party and invitations
and pastry cards will be sent out next week. Rumor has it that
the family left Beijing yesterday en route to their honeymoon.
