Future male model is chosen
Zhang Yinghua has been chosen to receive thousands of dollars worth of free plastic surgery and has been offered a job with a local modelling agency once his new face is ready. The 24-year-old was chosen ahead of two other candidates on Saturday after a medical check-up and psychological testing. "His mental status is stable and active," said Sun Mingming, who conducted the psychological tests. "The face-lifting process can help him realize his dream and future development." Zhang will undergo 300,000-yuan (US$36,145) in surgery, including a nose and eye job and perhaps a tummy tuck, as part of a promotional campaign for Shanghai Kinway Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center. The company gained plenty of publicity just four months ago when it performed similar surgery on a local woman. "Face-lifts and tummy tucks aren't just for women any more," said Dr Zhang Wei, Kinway's chairman. "We chose Zhang because he meets our requirement and can be turned into an ideal male. However, he has small defects like his nose is bent to the right and his eyes are not big enough." Zhang says he hopes the surgery will help him break into show business. "I long to join the entertainment industry and have engaged in singing contest," he said. |
