The top 10 famous computer brands in Zhongguancun, Beijing - China's silicon valley - were announced yesterday. Legend, Founder, Haier, Tongfang, Golden Great Wall, TCL, Start, Acer, Muze and Guohe are winners in the competition. Hosted by the Zhongguancun Computer Festival Organization Commission, the poll received more than 40,000 valid tickets from all over the country. Nine of the 10 winners are mainland brands with only Acer coming from Taiwan. Supported by competitive prices, a high technological level and good after-sales services, domestic computers are now major players on the home market.
