During Ramadan, the month of fasting for Muslims, believers of Islamism follow the decree of not having food and water between sunrise and sunset in Kashgar prefecture in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. They stay home or go to mosques for five prayers each day and have meals after sunset.
