Famous actor Huang Haibo has been detained for involvement with a prostitute, Beijing Times reported on Friday.

Huang was caught with a prostitute in a hotel room in Beijing on Thursday evening. According to the report, he confessed and will face up to 15 days of detention.

Huang, 39, was born in Tianjin and graduated from Beijing Film Academy.

He played the leading roles in TV serials such as We Get Married and Beautiful Daughter-in-Law, and was called "national son-in-law" because of the roles of a good son-in-law that he played in these TV shows.
